Jones, Braswell, Lewis earn NCPreps.com all-state acclaim

The postseason football awards continue to pour in for Hunt senior Torez Jones.
The slender do-it-all speedster was selected to the defensive unit of the 3-A all-state squad selected by the Web site NCPreps.com.
Jones was named as a defensive back but he also starred at wide receiver and on special teams for the Warriors.
Jones, who was named Wilson Daily Times Ironman of the Year in December, also received a nomination for one of the Old Spice Red Zone Players of the Year awards.
But Jones isn’t the only WDT area athlete to be honored by NCPreps.com as Greene Central senior wide receiver Curtis Braswell earned a spot on the 2-A offensive squad.
Braswell was the WDT area’s top receiver and also excelled on both sides of the line and on special teams.
North Johnston junior linebacker Jacob Lewis merited a selection to the 1-A defensive unit.
